Taxi Training
(Disability Awarness)
Disability Resource Centre provide a half day training course for private hire drivers applying for an operating licence from Birmingham City Council.
Attending the course and passing a short test at the end is a requirement of getting your licence from Birmingham City Council.
Our courses usually take place once a month depending on demand from drivers. The cost of the course is £60 and is paid online, in advance. You will then be contacted by DRC and booked onto an upcoming course.

On the day of your training you MUST bring your photo-driving licence on the day of the course. Failure to bring this will mean you will have to be re booked onto a future course.
At the end of the course there will be a short half-hour test based on the topics covered during the training. You must answer at least 8 out of 10 questions correctly to pass the course.
We will then notify Birmingham City Council Licencing Department of all successful candidates.
The address of the training venue is:
Disability Resource Centre, Unit 18, Ace Business Park, Mackadown Lane, Kitts Green, Birmingham B33 OLD.
